Happy Halloween everyone! 🙂

Diese letzte Maniküre meiner Halloween-Serie habe ich mit Hilfe der ‘Water Spotted’-Methode gemacht, bei der man den Nagellack in ein Gefäß mit Wasser tropft, ihn  anschließend mit einer alkoholhaltigen Flüssigkeit besprüht und den Nagel in das entstehende Muster eintaucht. Ich habe dazu Desinfektionsspray verwendet – nach erfolglosen und sehr nassen Versuchen mit Deo und Putzmittel. Der Arbeitsaufwand für diese Maniküre war enorm, aber ich bin total stolz auf das Ergebnis! 🙂

For this last manicure of my Halloween series I used the ‘water spotted’ method: you drop polish in a glass of water, then spray on it with anything that has alcohol in it and dip your nails in the emerging pattern. I used disinfectant spray – after some failed and very wet attempts with deo and cleaner. This manicure was a lot of work but I am so proud of the result! 🙂

Zu Beginn habe ich Zeigefinger, kleinen Finger und Daumen mit 3 Schichten Butter London Silly Billy lackiert und Mittel- und Ringfinger mit 3 Schichten China Glaze That’s Shore Bright. Dann habe ich auf alle Nägel mit zusammengeknüllter Frischhaltefolie stellenweise OPI Goldeneye aufgetupft. Anschließend war das ‘Spinnwebengeflecht’ an der Reihe, das ich mit der ‘Water Spotted’-Methode gemacht habe. Für jeden Nagel habe ich einige Tropfen schwarzen Lack (Chanel Black Satin) in ein Glas mit lauwarmem Wasser getropft, mit Desinfektionsspray besprüht und meinen Nagel in das Muster getaucht – FALLS es überhaupt ein sinnvolles Muster gegeben hat!! Bei einer Erfolgsquote von … hm … 30% (hoch geschätzt) hat das Ganze sehr, SEHR lange gedauert! 🙂 Auf dem Ringfinger habe ich diesen Schritt auch noch mit weißem Lack (Butter London Cotton Buds) wiederholt.

I started out with painting pointer finger, pinkie and thumb with 3 coats of Butter London Silly Billy and middle and ring finger with 3 coats of China Glaze That’s Shore Bright. With saran wrap I dabbed the gold polish OPI Goldeneye in a few random spots on all of my nails. Then I moved on to creating the spider webs by using the ‘water spotted’ method. For each nail I placed a few drops of black polish (Chanel Black Satin) in a glass of lukewarm water, sprayed some disinfectant spray on it and dipped my nail in the pattern – IF there was a pattern!! With a success rate of … hm … 30% (optimistic estimation) this took me a VERY long time! 🙂 On my ring finger I repeated this step with white polish (Butter London Cotton Buds).
