If you want your nails to reflect holiday season but don’t feel like going for a bold red or gold this manicure is perfect for you. You’re looking at 2 coats of OPI I Knead Sour-Dough and 1 coat of Lynnderella Chocolove Cherry from the Groundhog Day Collection. (Btw why would anyone call a collection like that and what is it referring to in this context?? I’ve looked up the German translation but that confused me even further. What do you think about this name for a polish collection?)
Lynnderella Chocolove Cherry is a glitter top coat that contains brown, red and opaque pink glitter including pink stars, hearts and squares. Although I love the idea of brown glitter it somehow didn’t work for me. I tried Chocolove Cherry over a bunch of different polishes (light and dark) and the only combo that I really liked was with OPI I Knead Sour-Dough. The base of Chocolove Cherry is slightly brown/reddish tinted (it should be clear though – we seem to have a bleeding glitter issue here) which makes it kind of difficult to combine it with complementary colors like for example light blue because the tinted base affects and strangely dulls this kind of underlying color.
Did you already wear holiday inspired manicures this year? Tell me! 🙂

Oh oh, I didn’t think I’d like this, but it’s a PERFECT cherry chocolate shade, so gorgeous!

Hehe 🙂 I guess the combination of the two polishes totally brings out the ‘chocolate side’ of both of them! And the tiny red glitters in Chocolove Cherry add the cherry flavor! XD

That looks stunning, it looks really elegant and sophisticated. And yes, I’ve already started on the holiday nail art, as soon as December started!
