In Bezug auf die Jahreszeiten bedeuten Liebe und Romantik für mich zwei Dinge: Frühling und Weihnachten! Da wir Weihnachten gerade hinter uns haben, ist es Zeit, sich auf den nächsten romantischen Ausbruch vorzubereiten: das blühende Frühjahr. Der Valentinstag ist für mich die perfekte Gelegenheit, mit einem Hauch von Frühling auf meinen Nägeln diesem grauen Winter geistig zu entkommen. Statt der typischen Farben der Liebe wie Rot und Rosa habe ich frische Frühjahrsfarben für diese Valentins-Maniküre verwendet. Das helle Lila in Kombination mit den gelben, grünen und brauen Glitterpartikeln erinnert mich an blühende Bäume und Wiesen 🙂

Speaking in terms of seasons love and romance mean two things for me: spring and holidays! As Christmas is right behind us it is time to prepare ourselves for the next romantic outburst: the blooming spring. Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity for me to escape this gray winter a little bit by incorporating a touch of spring in this Valentine manicure. I renounced the typical Valentine red and pink and chose shades of spring instead. The soft lilac base in combination with the yellow, green and brown glitters remind me of blooming trees and meadows 🙂

Ich habe meine Nägel mit 2 Schichten Zoya Julie und 1 Schicht Girly Bits Black Eyed Susan lackiert. Anschließend habe ich die Buchstaben mit schwarzem Striping-Lack gemalt und das Herz in die Mitte des ‘O’ gesetzt. Ganz ehrlich finde ich, dass die Schrift selbst nach unzähligen Übungsversuchen ganz fürchterlich aussieht, aber ich hoffe, die Maniküre gefällt euch trotzdem ein bisschen … 😦

I painted my nails with 2 coats of Zoya Julie and 1 coat of Girly Bits Black Eyed Susan. For the letters I used a black striping polish. Finally I applied the little heart in the middle of the ‘o’. Honestly I think the letters look horrible but no matter what I tried it didn’t get better than this 😦 I hope you still like this mani a little …

This post and manicure are part of the Create a Little Love Campaign of Brilliant Earth, a jewelry manufacturer dedicated to the design of responsibly sourced jewelry and conflict free diamonds. Bloggers were asked to creatively spell out the word ‘Love’. On February 14th, Brilliant Earth will feature a collage of all the images from every participant and I’m quite excited to see it. Of course the pic of my mani will probably be tiny but I’m looking forward to it nevertheless 😉
