No better time of the year to do pond nails than summer! So here we go! 🙂

Falls ihr eine Pond-Maniküre noch nicht kennt: Es ist quasi ein mehrschichtiges Jelly-Sandwich mit weißen Punkten (oder Blumen, Herzen oder was man will) statt Glitter zwischen den Jelly-Schichten. Mittels mehrerer Schichten entsteht der Eindruck, als würden manche Punkte tiefer im Teich schwimmen als andere. Ich finde die Idee total cool! 🙂

If you’re not familiar with the idea of pond nails: It is basically a multi-layer jelly sandwich with white dots (or flowers, hearts, whatever you like) instead of glitter in between the jelly coats, thereby creating the illusion that some dots swim deeper in the pond than others. I just love it! 🙂

Für diese Maniküre habe ich den türkisen Jelly-Lack China Glaze Keepin’ It Teal aus der letztjährigen Sunsational Collection verwendet. Die weißen Punkte habe ich mit einem Dotting Tool und Butter London Cotton Buds gemacht. Ich habe begonnen mit einer ersten Schicht Keepin’ It Teal, gefolgt von weißen Punkten, einer zweiten Schicht Keepin’ It Teal, weißen Punkten, einer dritten Schicht Keepin’ It Teal, weißen Punkten und schließlich einer vierten und letzten Schicht Keepin’t It Teal. Als subtilen Glitter (Flakes) habe ich noch Zoya Chloe aufgetragen. Zum Abschluss habe ich mit Hilfe eines Dotting Tools und Lacken aus der China Glaze Off Shore Collection einige Blumen auf die Nägel gemacht. Nennen wir sie Seerosen 😉

For this manicure I used the teal jelly China Glaze Keepin’ It Teal from last year’s Sunsational Collection. I made the white dots with Butter London Cotton Buds and a dotting tool. I started out with a first coat of Keepin’ It Teal, followed by random white dots, then a 2nd coat of Keepin’ It Teal, white dots, a 3rd coat of Keepin’ It Teal, white dots and a 4th and final coat of Keepin’ It Teal. I wanted to add some subtle glitter/flakes, so I applied Zoya Chloe on top. I finished off with some flowers using a dotting tool and polishes from the China Glaze Off Shore Collection. Let’s call them water lilies 😉
