China Glaze Kollektionen sind wie ein schwarzes Loch für mich: Ich werde von ihnen angezogen ohne Chance auf Widerstand … und ja gut, ich will ihnen auch gar nicht widerstehen! China Glaze ist deutlich billiger als OPI, Zoya oder Essie und obwohl bei China Glaze schon mal ein Lack mit mühsamer Konsistenz dabei sein kann, ist im Allgemeinen die Qualität sehr gut. Außerdem finde ich, dass China Glaze farbentechnisch um einiges kreativer und gewagter ist als manch andere Marke. Letzten Sommer habe ich in unverantwortlicher Weise verabsäumt, mir die ganze Sunsational Collection gleich auf einmal zuzulegen (langsam, aber stetig, korrigiere ich diesen Fehler), und in einem Versuch, die Dinge diesen Sommer von Anfang an richtig zu begehen, habe ich mir ohne Nachzudenken die gesamte Off Shore Kollektion bestellt. Obwohl wir schon Spätsommer haben, hoffe ich, dass es euch trotzdem Spaß macht, meinen Review zu lesen!

China Glaze Collections are like black wholes to me: I just gravitate towards them without any chance of resistance … and oh well, I confess: I don’t want to resist them! China Glaze is considerably cheaper than OPI, Zoya or Essie and although we occasionally come across a polish with a bad formula, in general the quality of China Glaze is really good. I also think that China Glaze is much more creative and adventurous when it comes to the choice of colors. Last summer I failed to pick up the entire Sunsational Collection (slowly but steady I am correcting this mistake), so in an attempt to make things right from the start this year I ordered the entire Off Shore Collection without thinking. And although it is already late summer I hope that you will still enjoy my review!

Seas The Day ist ein klassisch roter Lack, dessen Konsistenz in der Mitte zwischen Creme und Jelly liegt. Er hat einen ganz leichten pinken Unterton, den man nur erkennt, wenn man den Lack neben anderen Rottönen sieht. Zuerst war ich ein bisschen genervt, dass diese Kollektion überhaupt einen roten Lack enthält, aber nachdem ich ihn ausprobiert habe, freue ich mich direkt, ihn gekauft zu haben. Konsistenz und Auftrag sind perfekt. China Glaze versteht wirklich sein Geschäft, wenn es um klassische Rottöne geht. Ich habe 2 Schichten + Top Coat (den man hier nicht unbedingt braucht) aufgetragen.

Seas The Day is a classic red creme-jelly hybrid. It leans a tiny bit towards pink which you can only see when you put it side by side with other reds. At first I was slightly annoyed that this collection contains a red at all but now that I tried it I’m quite happy having this additional red. Formula and application are flawless. China Glaze really knows its business when it comes to classic reds. I used 2 coat + Top Coat (although you wouldn’t need one).

Stoked To Be Soaked ist ein oranger Cremelack. Der Farbton geht ein bisschen in die bräunliche Richtung, wodurch er irgendwie schmutzig wirkt. Ich bin mir nicht ganz sicher, ob mir das gefällt, aber worüber ich mir ganz sicher bin, ist, dass ich diesen Lack zu Halloween tragen werde 🙂 Das Auftragen war problemlos. Ich trage 2 Schichten + Top Coat.

Stoked To Be Soaked is an orange creme. This shade has some kind of weird brown undertones to it which give it a dirty look. I’m not quite sure if I like this color, but what I do know for sure is that I will rock this color on Halloween! 🙂 The polish applied very well. You’re looking at 2 coats + Top Coat.

If In Doubt, Surf It Out ist ein etwas gedeckter, helloranger Cremelack. Mir gefällt die Farbe sehr gut und ich mag, dass sie nicht so grell ist. Der Lack hat eine völlig andere Konsistenz als manch andere Pastell- und Neonlacke von China Glaze, die zu einem halbmatten Finish trocknen und ziemlich mühsam in der Handhabung sein können. Im Gegensatz dazu ist das Auftragen von If In Doubt, Surf It Out problemlos, der Lack ist selbstnivellierend und hinterlässt ein hochglänzendes Finish. Ich habe 2 dickere Schichten für volle Deckkraft aufgetragen und wie immer auch Top Coat.

If In Doubt, Surf It Out is a light orange creme. The color has a little bit of dustiness to it which makes it more interesting in my opinion. This polish has a very different formula compared to some other China Glaze pastels/neons that dry to a semi-matte finish and can be quite bitchy application-wise. Unlike them If In Doubt, Surf It Out is easy to handle, self-levelling and it leaves a glossy finish. It took 2 thicker coats to get it opaque. As always I added Top Coat.

Sun Upon My Skin ist ein frisches Zitronengelb in Cremekonsistenz. Ich liebe diese Gelb-Nuance, die neu ist in meiner Kollektion! Die Konsistenz ist dieselbe wie bei If In Doubt, Surf It Out. Ich trage 3 Schichten + Top Coat.

Sun Upon My Skin is a fresh lemon yellow creme. This shade of yellow is a new addition to my stash. I absolutely love it! The formula is the same as in If In Doubt, Surf It Out. This is 3 coats + Top Coat.

Be More Pacific ist ein limonengrüner Cremelack und China Glaze Grass Is Lime Greener aus der China Glaze City Flourish Collection sehr ähnlich. Hier findet ihr meinen direkten Vergleich der zwei Lacke! Be More Pacific hat dieselbe angenehme Konsistenz wie Sun Upon My Skin und If In Doubt, Surf It Out, der Auftrag war also problemlos. Ich habe 3 Schichten + Top Coat aufgetragen.

Be More Pacific is a light lime green creme and very similar to China Glaze Grass Is Lime Greener from the China Glaze City Flourish Collection. Check out my comparison of the two polishes! Be More Pacific has the same nice formula as Sun Upon My Skin and If In Doubt, Surf It Out, so application was easy. I used 3 coats + Top Coat.

Shore Enuff ist ein leuchtend grasgrüner Cremelack. Es ist nicht wirklich eine Neonfarbe, aber fast 🙂 Der Auftrag war ok. Obwohl der Lack eigentlich eine gute Deckkraft zu haben scheint, waren 3 Schichten nötig, um ein gleichmäßiges Finish zu erreichen. Shore Enuff trocknet halbmatt. Top Coat ist also ein Muss, wenn man eine glänzende Oberfläche haben möchte. Ich liebe dieses frische, strahlende Grün – ein wahrer Sommerlack!

Shore Enuff is a vibrant grass green creme. It’s not quite a neon but still really bright. Application was ok. Although the polish seems to have a decent opacity it took me 3 coats to cover all bald spots. It dries semi-matte. So if you want a shiny finish Top Coat is obligatory. I adore the fresh, bright color of Shore Enuff. It is a true happy summer polish!

Wait n’Sea ist ein wunderschöner blaugrüner Crelly-Lack. Ich habe schon in dem Post über meine Top 5 Sommerlacke von diesem Lack geschwärmt. Konsistenz und Auftrag sind super. Die Farbe ist Butter London Slapper sehr ähnlich, Wait n’Sea geht lediglich etwas mehr in die blaue Richtung. Ich trage 2 Schichten + Top Coat.

Wait n’Sea is a gorgeous teal crelly. I already raved about this polish in my Top 5 Summer Polishes. I adore this color and formula and application were perfection. It reminded me a lot of Butter London Slapper, Wait n’Sea is only a little more blue-leaning. I used 2 coats + Top Coat.

I Sea The Point ist ein mittel- bis dunkelblauer Cremelack. Die Farbe ist sehr schön und wunderbar für den Spätsommer geeignet. Der Lack trocknet zu einem matten und etwas unebenen Finish. Ihr seht hier 2 Schichten + Top Coat.

I Sea The Point is a medium to dark blue creme. The color is beautiful and very suited for late summer. The polish dries dull and a little uneven. I used 2 coats + Top Coat.

X-Ta-Sea ist ein violetter Cremelack, der ganz hübsch wäre in einer Herbstkollektion, aber in dieser Sommerkollektion fehl am Platz wirkt. Generell bin ich nicht besonders begeistert von dieser Farbe. Das Auftragen hat gut funktioniert. Ich trage 2 Schichten + Top Coat.

X-Ta-Sea is a purple creme that would be nice in a fall collection but feels totally out of place in this summer collection. I do not really care for this color. It applied well though. This is 2 coats + Top Coat.

Dune Our Thing ist ein kräftiger beerenfarbener Cremelack. Ich würde sagen, dass die Farbe optimal ist für den Übergang vom Spätsommer in den Herbst. Der Lack hat sich gut auftragen lassen. Ich habe 2 Schichten + Top Coat verwendet.

Dune Our Thing is a bright berry creme. I feel like this is a nice transition color for late summer and the beginning of fall. Application was fine. I used 2 coats + Top Coat.

Float On ist ein leuchtender, fast neon-rosa Cremelack. Wer meinen Blog einigermaßen regelmäßig liest, weiß, dass Rosa meine Lieblingsfarbe ist und daher gefällt mir dieser Lack sehr gut. Ich hätte schwören können, dass die Farbe dieselbe ist wie die von dem letztjährigen Pink China Glaze Bottoms Up, aber im unmittelbaren Vergleich habe ich festgestellt, dass Bottoms Up sichtbar kühler ist als Float On. Float On liegt tatsächlich etwa in der Mitte von Bottoms Up und Neon & On & On (ebenfalls von China Glaze). Der Lack trocknet halbmatt, aber das Auftragen hat gut funktioniert. Ich trage 2 Schichten + Top Coat.

Float On is a bright, almost neon pink creme. If you have been following my blog for a little while you know that pink is my favorite color and consequently I like this polish a lot. I could have sworn that this is the same color as last year’s China Glaze Bottoms Up, but when I looked at them side by side I found out that Bottoms Up is noticeably cooler than Float On. Float On actually lies in the middle of Bottoms Up and Neon & On & On (also from China Glaze). This polish dries semi-matte but application was fine. This is 2 coats + Top Coat.

Feel The Breeze ist ein hellrosa Cremelack und die hellere Variante von Float On. Die Farbe ist sehr hübsch, aber nichts Besonderes. Nichtsdestotrotz ergänzt sie sehr schön die Kollektion. Der Auftrag war ok. Ein bisschen hat mich die Konsistenz an die Problemkonsistenz von den China Glaze Neonlacken erinnert, aber der Lack hat sich recht gut auftragen und gleichmäßig verteilen lassen. Ich habe 2 Schichten + Top Coat verwendet.

Feel The Breeze is a light pink creme and the lighter version of Float On. It is pretty but nothing special. Nevertheless it complements this collection very well. Application was ok, the formula reminded me a little of the neon trouble formulas but it was not as troublesome and evened out a lot better. I used 2 coats + Top Coat.
