Inspiriert von dem Film The Giver, der im Oktober in die deutschen und österreichischen Kinos kommt, hat China Glaze eine limitierte Kollektion bestehend aus 12 Lacken entworfen, die ich euch heute zeige! Ihr müsst wissen, dass ich letzte Woche eine Power-Swatching-Session eingelegt habe – ansonsten hätte ich den Review wahrscheinlich nicht vor Oktober fertig gehabt. Power Swatching heißt bei mir irgendetwas in der Gegend von 4 bis 7 Lacken pro Tag – mehr halt ich echt nicht aus. Ziemlich mickrig, oder? 🙂

Inspired by the upcoming movie The Giver, China Glaze created a special limited collection consisting of 12 shades and I’m gonna show you all of them today! You have to know that I did some power swatching last week – otherwise you would not see these polishes until October. Power swatching for me means something between 4 and 7 polishes a day – I really cannot bear more. That’s pathetic, isn’t it? 🙂

Friends Forever, Right? ist der blässeste rosa Cremelack, den man sich vorstellen kann. Er erscheint fast weiß. Ich habe 3 Schichten für gleichmäßige Deckkraft gebraucht. Bei der ersten Schicht ist der Auftrag etwas streifig und der Lack verrinnt relativ leicht, aber ich habe keine größeren Probleme damit gehabt. Ich mag diesen Lack sehr gern. Obwohl die Farbe ungewöhnlich und bissl komisch ist, vermittelt sie für mich auch eine gewisse Coolness – warum auch immer 🙂 Ich trage 3 Schichten + Top Coat.

Friends Forever, Right? is the palest pink creme you can think of. It appears almost white. I needed 3 coats for full opacity. It applied a little streaky and runny but it’s manageable. I like this polish a lot. Although it’s an unusual and weird color I feel like there’s some kind of coolness to it 🙂 This is 3 coats + Top Coat.

New Birth ist das blaue Äquivalent zu Friends Forever, Right?. Es ist ein blauweißer Cremelack. Die Konsistenz ist dieselbe wie von Friends Forever, Right?. Ich mag diesen Lack ebenso gern. Ihr seht hier 3 Schichten + Top Coat.

New Birth is the blue equivalent of Friends Forever, Right?. It’s white with a drop of blue in it. It has the same formula as Friend forever, right?. I also like this one very much. I used 3 coats + Top Coat.

Five Rules ist ein bräunlich grauer Cremelack. Er ist durchsichtig nach der ersten Schicht, deckt aber vollständig mit der zweiten. Die Farbe ist sehr unauffällig und verschmilzt so ziemlich mit dem Hautton (mit meinem jedenfalls). Der Lack ist hübsch und interessant, aber nichts, was wir nicht schon gesehen haben. Ich trage 2 Schichten + Top Coat.

Five Rules is a light, brown toned grey creme. It’s sheer with the first coat but opaque with the second. Application was fine. It is a camouflaging color and blends pretty much with the skin. The color is beautiful and interesting but nothing we haven’t seen before. I’m wearing 2 coats + Top Coat.

Intelligence, Integrity & Courage ist ein helles, blaugetöntes Grau in Cremekonsistenz. Die erste Schicht ist eine Spur streifig, doch die zweite deckt vollständig. Die Farbe ist so schick und modern – gefällt mir super! Ich habe 2 Schichten + Top Coat verwendet.

Intelligence, Integrity & Courage is a light, blue toned grey creme. It’s a little streaky with the first coat but completely opaque with the second. The color is so chic and sophisticated – absolutely gorgeous! I used 2 coats + Top Coat.

Release ist ein grauer Cremelack mit lila Untertönen. Er deckt in 2 Schichten und der Auftrag war problemlos. Ich liebe diese Farbe! Ich finde Release genauso cool und schick wie Intelligence, Integrity & Courage. Ich trage 2 Schichten + Top Coat.

Release is a grey creme with lilac undertones. It’s opaque in 2 coats and I had no issues with application. I love this color! Release also has this cool, sophisticated touch to it. I’m wearing 2 coats + Top Coat.

Community ist ein schokoladenbrauner Cremelack. Er hat sich gut auftragen lassen und war beinahe vollständig deckend nach der ersten Schicht. Die Farbe liegt voll auf der brauen Trendwelle dieses Herbstes. Ihr seht 2 Schichten + Top Coat.

Community is a chocolate brown creme. It applied well and was almost opaque with the first coat. The color is perfectly in line with the brown trend of this fall. I applied 2 coats + Top Coat.

Capacity to See Beyond ist ein leuchtend hellblauer Cremelack. Es ist ein toller Farbfleck in dieser großteils neutralen Kollektion. Dieser Lack hat interessanterweise länger zum Trocknen gebraucht als die anderen. Ich habe die zweite Schicht eine Spur zu früh aufgetragen und so stellenweise die erste Schicht mit dem Pinsel mitgezogen. Ich trage 2 Schichten + Top Coat.

Capacity to See Beyond is a bright blue creme. It’s a lovely pop of color in this mostly neutral collection. This one took a little longer to dry. If you apply the second coat too soon you might experience some dragging (like I did). I used 2 coats + Top Coat.

The Outer Edge ist ein durchsichtiger Glitterüberlack mit weißem und silbernem Mikroglitter. Ich habe 1 Schicht über Capacity to See Beyond aufgetragen (inklusive Top Coat). Es ist ein echt lustiger Lack, den ich zu Weihnachten sicher viel verwenden werde 😉

The Outer Edge is a glitter topper with white and silver micro glitter in a clear base. I applied 1 coat over Capacity to see beyond (+ Top Coat as always). It’s a fun polish and I think I will use it a lot for Christmas 😉

History of the World ist ein graugetöntes Dunkelblau in Cremekonsistenz. Mir ist der Lack bei der ersten Schicht ein bisschen verronnen, aber die zweite Schicht war problemlos und hat perfekt gedeckt. Die Farbe ist ganz toll und ja, diesen Lack braucht ihr unbedingt!! 🙂 Wunderschön für den Herbst! Ich trage 2 Schichten + Top Coat.

History of the World is a grey toned, dark blue creme. It was a bit runny with the first coat but other than that a perfect 2-coater. The color is exceptional and yes, you need this 🙂 It is so beautiful and appropriate for fall! You’re looking at 2 coats + Top Coat.

Givers Theme ist ein lebhaftes Violett in Cremekonsistenz. Ich würde die Farbe als klassisches Violett bezeichnen, echt hübsch. Konsistenz und Auftrag waren sehr gut. Ich habe 2 Schichten + Top Coat verwendet.

Givers Theme is a vibrant purple creme. I would call this a classic purple shade, very pretty. It has a good formula and application was fine. This is 2 coats + Top Coat.

Seeing Red ist ein bräunlich roter Cremelack. Er deckt bereits mit der ersten Schicht und wieder einmal habe ich festgestellt, dass China Glaze ein Profi ist bei Rottönen. Die Konsistenz ist absolut perfekt und der Auftrag makellos. Ich trage 2 Schichten + Top Coat.

Seeing Red is a brown-hued red creme. It’s opaque in only 1 coat and once again I gotta say that China Glaze makes amazing reds. The formula is excellent and application is incredibly smooth. I applied 2 coats (as I always do) + Top Coat.

Boundary of Memory ist ein Glitterlack mit einer Unmenge an Mikroglitter in unterschiedlichen Brauntönen. Er deckt vollständig mit 2 Schichten. Ich liebe diesen Lack und kann es gar nicht erwarten, ihn im Herbst inmitten sich verfärbender Blätter zu tragen 🙂 Ihr seht 2 Schichten + Top Coat.

Boundary of Memory is a dense glitter polish with different shades of brown micro glitter. It’s completely opaque in 2 coats. I love this one so much and can’t wait to wear it in fall with colorful leaves around me 🙂 I used 2 coats + Top Coat.
