OPI At Your Quebec & Call war Teil der OPI Canadian Collection, die im Herbst 2004 herausgekommen ist. Ich habe mir den Lack von Good Lack, Nail! ausgeborgt. Bevor ich begonnen habe diesen Post zu schreiben, habe ich im Internet nach einem Bild der ganzen Kollektion gesucht und während ich OPI Canadian Collection ins Google-Suchfeld eingetippt habe, ist mir ernsthaft durch den Kopf geschossen: “Gab es damals überhaupt schon Internet?” Ja, ich denke schon … 😉 Ein anderer Lack der Kollektion heißt Canadian Maple Leaf und allein das Lesen dieses Namens hat mich in einen blinden, enthusiastischen Rausch versetzt. Stellt euch vor, OPI würde die gesamte Kollektion noch einmal herausbringen! [einatmen – ausatmen] Ich würde sie ohne Nachdenken und ohne näheres Hinschauen sofort kaufen – aus Nostalgie. Das ist ein wertvolles Stück Geschichte! 🙂

OPI At Your Quebec & Call was part of the OPI Canadian Collection which was released in fall 2004. I borrowed the polish from Good Lack, Nail!. Before writing this post I searched the internet for a picture of the entire collection and while I was typing OPI Canadian Collection into the Google search field I seriously wondered “Did we even have Internet back then?” Yeah, I guess we did … 😉 Another shade from the collection is called Canadian Maple Leaf and only reading that name pulled me into a blind, enthusiastic rush. Imagine a re-release of the entire Canadian Collection! [inhale – exhale] I would buy it instantly without thinking without looking – for nostalgic reasons. It’s a precious piece of history! 🙂

Sammeln wir uns wieder und kommen zurück zu OPI At Your Quebec & Call. Es handelt sich um einen bronze-olivfarbenen Schimmerlack. Die Farbe ist wunderschön und außergewöhnlich! Leider hat mir der Lack auf meinen Nägeln nicht so gut gefallen wie in der Flasche. Aber ich gebe nicht dem Lack die Schuld daran. Das hat zu tun mit einem ganz persönlichen Problem, das ich in Bezug auf meine Nägel in Kombination mit Schimmerlacken habe: Manche dieser Lacke betonen jede schiefe Biegung und das halte ich nervlich kaum aus. Der Lack war unerwartet dünnflüssig und transparent, weshalb ich 3 Schichten für volle Deckkraft gebraucht habe.

Let’s get ourselves together now and come back to OPI At Your Quebec & Call. It is a bronzy olive green shimmer. The color is gorgeous and really special! Unfortunately I didn’t like it as much on my nails as I liked it in the bottle. But I don’t blame the polish. This has to do with a personal issue of mine regarding my nails in combination with shimmers/frosts: Some of these polishes tend to highlight every single unwanted curve and I hate that. The polish was unexpectedly thin and sheer and I needed 3 coats for full opacity.
