About Me

Elektra Deluxe

Painting my nails is my biggest hobby! I started when I was 14 and have not stopped ever since. I made my first (painful) experience with cheap pastel polishes from a christmas market. After that I stumbled into an expensive addiction to Chanel polishes, that remained with me for years – I had to have each polish of all the spring and fall collections and I love every single one of them! Eventually OPI cured my addiction a few years ago (of course there are relapses). Now I wear polishes from a lot of different brands and Indie brands (they are like a black hole to me for I adore Glitter polish). However, part of my addiction is still there: I feel like needing each polish of any new collection – only that now there are not just 3 new polishes each season as it was with Chanel but hundreds! Chanel alone was cheaper 😉

  2. I’ve always loved nails, and nail art, but only just decided to do the course and be a technician. I find it so enjoyable and relaxing.
And to stumble on your blog has made me smile. So many awesome colours, designs and art. I just want to keep practising and be perfect at it. You are an inspiration to me right now 🙂

    • Thank you so much! 🙂 That makes me very happy! I have been into nails for all my life, so I had a lot of time for practice 😉 I also find it very helpful and inspiring to read other nail blogs which I love to do as well. That’s how I learned to do gradients and water marble designs for example. And Youtube tutorials also have become new friends of mine 😉

  3. Hi, I just wanted to give you a heads up that I gave you (and your blog) a shout-out on *my* blog. 🙂 It’s sort of one of those blogger-on-blogger award things (the Shine On Award, to be specific), and if you’re at all interested in participating, please do. But if not, I just wanted you to know regardless that I love swinging by your blog – thanks for giving me something fun to read and stare at every day. 🙂

      • Oh my gosh, don’t worry about it – and it totally wasn’t a “demand” that you abide by the rules of the Shine On Award, blah, blah, blah, more just a recognition of other bloggers I like and admire. 🙂 Happy Easter to you, too.
